Françoise Mombo, the Provincial Chief Inspector (PPI) of the Mongala 1 Educational Province, concluded her tour of the eight sub-districts within her jurisdiction on Friday, April 3, 2026. This mission involved meeting with various stakeholders, as well as training inspectors, school principals, and members of the sub-provincial education committees.

During discussions with the inspectors, particular emphasis was placed on revising inspection procedures, administrative oversight, and “new citizenship”—an approach strongly promoted within the Congolese education system.

Additionally, discussions with other stakeholders addressed issues regarding each party’s role in promoting responsible education, particularly concerning the smooth conduct of the State Exam.

IPP Françoise Mombo reiterated the need to digitize various data, which will help reduce uncertainties and facilitate rapid work. Specific IT modules were proposed by her IT department to bring all relevant stakeholders up to speed.

This aspect of IT and digital technology, along with the dialogue, is in line with the Ministry’s five-year plan for national education and new citizenship, the IPP explained.

She reminded school principals of their obligation to comply with official instructions, such as the Framework Law on National Education, the Constitution of the Republic, the Compendium of Instructions, and the Child Protection Law. They must also ensure that discipline is upheld in schools, she emphasized.
