The Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship (EDU-NC) held a workshop to validate the National School Feeding Strategy in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) on Saturday, July 26, under the theme “A meal at school, a future for every Congolese child.” This strategy will help improve learning conditions and the well-being of students across the country. Discussions, involving the Chief of Staff to the Minister of EDU-NC, the Acting Secretary General, the directors of central services, as well as technical and financial partners, provided an opportunity to examine the draft strategy in detail, gather feedback and proposed amendments from various stakeholders, and ensure its relevance, feasibility, and suitability for the specific challenges of school feeding in the DRC. The goal is to ensure that every Congolese child has access to a nutritious meal at school, thereby contributing to their health, educational success, and future development. This validation marks a significant step toward the implementation of a coherent and sustainable national school feeding policy, paving the way for a more promising future for Congolese youth.
