PDL - 145T : Acceptance of new buildings at E.P. Bokutu in Mongala 1

Jean Claude Kilonga, Director of the Mongala 1 Educational Province, accepted the new buildings at Bokutu Primary School from Beaudouin Yenga, the provincial Minister of the Interior. These facilities were constructed as part of the Local Development Program for 145 Territories (PDL-145 T), which aims to improve educational infrastructure. This school is located in Bokutu, a village 35 km from the city of Lisala, the capital of Mongala Province. Its construction represents a significant step forward for local education. This building was made possible through a partnership between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the NGO SOCO. This collaboration demonstrates the commitment of international and local stakeholders to education in the DRC. The new facilities are expected to help improve learning conditions for students in the region by providing a more suitable and conducive environment for education. Speaking at the event, Minister Beaudouin Yenga, acting as interim governor, expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic for his commitment to the youth. He also called on the community to make good use of these new facilities, emphasizing the importance of quality education for the community’s development. For his part, Jean Claude Kilonga emphasized that the school is a community asset that must be protected by all. He stressed that the quality of life for the population depends on the education of its youth. The facilities built in Bokutu represent, in his view, a major step toward development, and he encouraged a collective awareness of the importance of education. It is important to note that these new school buildings mark a significant milestone in improving educational conditions in this region of the country, thereby offering better prospects for local youth.
