Primary school inspectors from the educational provinces of the Katanga region have adopted the Francophone Initiative for Distance Education of Teachers (IFADEM).

The two booklets that make up this program enable the implementation of the primary education curriculum and the organization of classroom work for the first booklet.

The second booklet, meanwhile, focuses on the teaching and learning of French for Swahili-speaking students. It involves identifying linguistic and cultural errors and correcting them.

This training, which brought together the educational provinces of Lubumbashi, Likasi, Kolwezi, Kalemie, and Kamina, lasted seven days, from October 22 to 29.

The training was facilitated by Reverend Sister Mundi Muake Cécile, who holds a doctorate in languages, literature, and translation studies.

The program was led by the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) through the Francophonie Institute for Education and Training (IFEF) with technical support from APEFE.
