The 2024 Annual Performance Review (APR) concluded on Wednesday, August 7, in the Kinshasa-Plateau educational province, during a ceremony presided over by the provincial minister of national education and new citizenship, Jeannot Canon La Rose.

During the meeting, participants presented several recommendations to sectoral authorities aimed at improving education in the Kinshasa-Plateau educational province.

Accredited private schools expressed satisfaction with the commitment of the Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship to revitalize this sub-sector in order to ensure high-quality education for students.

Its national president, Nyimi Kwete Jean Mussa, strongly praised this determination on the part of the EDU-NC authorities, before reaffirming his organization’s unwavering support for them.

“We are very pleased to see that both provincial and national authorities are seeking ways to revitalize the education sector, and we hope that with the various recommendations made, tangible change will follow,” he said.

For his part, the Provincial Director of Kin-Plateau, Kongi, urged that the attention of both provincial and national authorities, as well as partners, be focused on his educational province to ensure the recommendations made during these meetings are taken into account.

The Provincial Minister of National Education and New Citizenship, who closed the proceedings, instructed participants to draft a reliable and pragmatic report to be presented to senior officials for appropriate solutions.

“Based on the recommendations that will be formulated at the conclusion of this meeting, the higher authorities will be tasked with providing guidance to bring about the change we hope for. I expect this meeting to produce a solid report that aligns with the three pillars of the sectoral strategy for education and training: access to education, quality of training, and governance,” he stated.

It should be noted that more than 125 people, including 20 women, participated in this meeting, at the conclusion of which several recommendations were formulated.
