The Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship has strengthened the skills of department heads in Results-Based Management (RBM). This approach places performance, impact, and accountability at the heart of public action. The five-day workshop, which concluded on Saturday, January 24, enabled senior officials from the central administration to deepen their skills in planning, monitoring, and evaluation, with the aim of transforming public policies into concrete, measurable, and sustainable actions. The closing ceremony was presided over by Odon Mulanda, Director and Head of Department at DIPROMAD, representing the Acting Secretary General of National Education and New Citizenship, who was unable to attend. In his address, he praised the relevance of the discussions throughout the workshop.
I would like to commend the commitment, interest, diligence, attention, richness of the discussions, and quality of the contributions you have made to the success of this workshop. Your insightful questions and shared experiences have given this training a practical and dynamic dimension, far beyond a mere theoretical exercise,” he stated.
He emphasized that Results-Based Management represents a major paradigm shift toward improving the efficiency and accountability of public administration, because, he insisted, resources have value only when they produce concrete and sustainable changes for the benefit of the population. Odon Mulanda also commended the work of the trainers from the DEP and CTA-PBF for making complex concepts accessible and tailored to the ministry’s context, which helps encourage participants to become RBM ambassadors in their respective departments. For their part, the participants committed to implementing the lessons learned from the workshop, with the aim of making Results-Based Management a concrete lever for performance, governance, and the quality of services provided to the public. The representative of the Acting Secretary General expressed confidence that this work paves the way for a more effective educational administration focused on the real impact of its actions.
