Validation workshop for the Microsoft Office suite training module

As part of the implementation of the five-year plan of the Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship, a workshop to validate the training module on Microsoft Office applications was held on Thursday, August 7, 2025. This initiative, spearheaded by Minister of State Raïssa Malu, was led by the Directorate of Organization and Information Technology (D.O.I). This module is part of the strategic focus on institutional capacity building, as defined in the Five-Year Plan, and aims to support the Ministry’s digital transition by equipping staff and managers with the necessary skills to: - improve the management of electronic communication; - optimize administrative tasks; - master the core software of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; - design, deliver, and facilitate structured presentations; - use Excel to manage and analyze data, create tables and charts, and perform automated calculations; - integrate these tools into professional practices to increase the efficiency and quality of public services in the education sector. Participants’ Feedback According to Mr. Godé Eale Nsomb'aoleka, Director and Head of Department at the D.O.I., this module directly addresses the guidelines set by the Minister of State:

“We are here to implement the Minister’s five-year plan, which places the development of digital literacy at the heart of administrative reform. To equip staff and managers with the necessary skills, we needed a module tailored to this vision. Now that it has been approved, we will be able to launch training sessions in the coming weeks.”

For his part, Mr. Jeef Kalombo, an expert who participated in the project, emphasized the importance of aligning with international standards:

“This module is essential because we are in a sector that now requires proficiency in digital tools. It is a requirement of today’s professional world, and the Minister has clearly understood this through her five-year plan.”
